First, please keep in mind that not all businesses require all levels of protective equipment. As per the Workplace Guidance for Business Owners document, business owners should conduct hazard assessments to identify exisiting and potential hazards related to COVID-19. Where elimination of these hazards is not possible or reasonable, they should be controlled. Please review the Workplace Guidance for Business Owners document and specifically the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) page as your first step. This page explains the levels of controls that businesses can use.
It is recommended to call local suppliers as quanities in stock may vary daily.
As of June 11, 2020, this is the information we have received:
Plexiglas shields, aka 'sneeze guards': were sourced by the Town of Drumheller and are currently available for pickup at the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce for those businesses that haven't already received one. The shields are 39.5'' wide and 34.5'' high. View photo here. Each business can receive one for free. Limited quanities remain so we are unable to sell additional shields. Please schedule an appointment with us to pick one up.
If these shields are too big for your space or if you need to purchase an additional one, local businesses Greene Construction (403-823-6176) and Active Glass (403-823-8000) can also make Plexiglas shields to suit your needs.

Businesses may also be able to purchase PPE from the Provincial Operation Centre (POC) here: https://xnet.gov.ab.ca/ppe. Business should check the drop-down list of eligible businesses before applying.
UPDATE: On May 26, Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced organizations and businesses that have been receiving PPE from the government for the last couple of months will need to purchase their own PPE supplies at market price after June 30.
FAQ's about ordering from the Provincial Operation Centre:
There are a number of business types identified in the drop down menu –if businesses do not see their type listed, choose “Other” and then in the box below, identify what type of business they are operating.
The businesses that are currently identified on the list are the ones that are able to operate in Alberta at this time. As more businesses are allowed to open, my contact indicated that more business types will be added.
PPE requests should be coming in from businesses that are currently allowed to operate or will be allowed to operate in the next phase, beginning May 14. Businesses not yet allowed to open should wait to order PPE.
Businesses should source locally, where possible.
Costs are not identified on this website. Businesses should fill out the form, identifying what they require and then the list with costs will be sent to them in an email.
PPE is available on a cost recovery basis, POC is not looking to profit on these products.
