The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that repairs to the Little Church are now complete, and it was transported back to its original location on North Dinosaur Trail on Tuesday, June 23^rd, 2015.

The Little Church was discovered to have been vandalised on October 30, 2014. A fire that had been started inside the Little Church had burned a hole through the floor, and some smoke damage was present. After closer inspection, extensive repairs were deemed necessary to ensure the longevity of the popular attraction. Through a partnership between the Chamber of Commerce and the Drumheller Institution, the Little Church was removed from its site by the Town of Drumheller’s Public Works department and moved to the carpentry shop at the Institution in February 2015. Materials were provided by the Chamber of Commerce with DeMott Floors Ltd. donating new flooring. Inmates enrolled in the pre-Carpentry program were tasked with refurbishing the Little Church.

2015 marks 20 years of the Chamber Golf Tournament!

Last year the switch was made to a more networking-friendly 9-hole format. The tournament will once again be held at the Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club, with registration beginning at 1:00 pm and shotgun start at 2:00 pm.

All skill levels are welcome! This tournament is a fantastic opportunity to hit the links, meet some new people, and enjoy some fantastic food and prizes in a fun, relaxed environment.

*Due to last Friday's weather, our tournament has been rescheduled for Friday, August 28th.

The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce through the World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund presented the Drumheller Association of Skateboarding Enthusiasts (DASE) with $25,000 on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 for construction of the skate park.

“The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present these funds and honour our commitment that was made back in September 2012, when plans for the skate park were first beginning to take shape,” announced Heather Bitz, Executive Director of the DDCC. “With our operation being located next door, we clearly see what a popular destination Centennial Park is for locals and visitors, alike. The skate park will nicely complement and enhance the existing amenities of Centennial Park.”

The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce held it's 2015 Annual General Meeting on March 24th, 2015 at the Badlands Community Facility. Four director positions were available, all three year terms.

6 members were nominated, of which the following four were chosen by secret ballot to fill the Director positions:

• Brooke Christianson, Vice President of Canalta Hotels;
• Brock Harrington, General Manager of Rocky Mountain Equipment;
• Gord Van Kannel, of the Drumheller Co-op; and
• Christopher Knight, Vice President of Finance and Operations, Platinum Chemical Solutions
