Business Excellence Awards Committee

Each year, the DDCC recognizes the best and brightest businesses, groups and individuals with our Business Excellence Awards. Previously handed out at a gala in conjunction with Small Business Week, the awards are now handed out at the Celebration of Excellence event, along with awards from the Rotary Club of Drumheller and Travel Drumheller. The Business Excellence Awards Committee consists of anonymous members and event sponsors who review nominations to select award winners. If you would like more information on the Business Excellence Awards Committee, please email us.

Drumheller DinoArts Association
In the 1990's, a local attraction called Prehistoric Park that was home to many cement dinosaur structures was closed. Later on, the dinosaurs in this park were gifted to the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce and moved to various locations around town. In 2011 the DinoArts Committee was formed as a Chamber subcomittee to 'plan effective placement, upkeep, and addiitons to the dinosaur structures in Drumheller.' In 2012, DinoArts incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act as the Drumheller DinoArts Association.

Currently, the Chamber owns and insures all of the dinosaurs in the DinoArts collection, and provides bookkeeping and administrative support to the group, while DinoArts fundraises for upkeep and new dinosaur projects.

The Drumheller DinoArts Association is a nonprofit group that promotes, repairs, and expands the collection of more than 30 dinosaur statues displayed outdoors throughout the Drumheller Valley. We fundraise throughout the year to pay for the upkeep of these statues. Funds raised are matched by the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce up to a maximum of $5,000 each year. If you are interested in becoming involved with or donating to the DinoArts Association, we would love to hear from you!
